― Share Us Your Countdown Photos! ―

The 20th World Kendo Championships will be held in Tokyo from 27 to 30 May, 2027.

It has been 12 years since the 16th WKC was held in Tokyo. Therefore, we are working on a project called “Passing on to the future” to gather everyone to cheer for the event worldwide.

From 27 May 2026 (Wednesday), we will be counting down the dates to the 20WKC through the year. The photos will be shared through various websites and SNS; 20WKC homepage, All Japan Kendo Federation’s Official Facebook, X (as known as “Twitter”) and Instagram.

These countdown photos will be shared not only to communicate about 20WKC with the members of the Kendo community but also to enjoy momentum with people who love Kendo worldwide.

If you are interested, please send your photos with your teammates, clubmates with a big smile. We are looking forward to receive many photos from you all!

＊ How to apply
If you have your own Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) or Instagram account, please upload your pictures and simply add the tag #20wkcphoto on your Timeline.

＊Condition

• Anyone can join this event.
• Make sure the photos should be taken by yourself or people you are related with; your friends in Dojo, teammates, etc.
• Pictures with Kendo uniforms or Hakama are preferred.
  ＊Subject(s) who is/are wearing 20WKC logo pin badge is/are also OK.
• Please obtain approval from those who are in the photo with you before upload.
  ＊Please be aware that All Japan Kendo Federation is not responsible for any of the portrait rights.

＊Other

• Photos will be selected by All Japan Kendo Federation’s webpage manager.
  ＊Please note that not all photos may be shared on the website.
• The quality and the size of the photos may slightly change during the uploading process.
• The photos may be used in other 20WKC promotional or related activities.
